Air Jordan 1 Retro “Silver Anniversary” Release Info

Following the release date info of the Air Jordan 2 Retro White/Metallic Silver-Neutral Grey, we now have updated information regarding the Air Jordan 1 Retro “Silver Anniversary”. Jordan Brand will release this Air Jordan 1 Retro on February 13th, 2010 for $140.

This sneakers is primarily dressed up in cool grey nubuck; however, its most dominant traits are seen on the heel, swoosh and heel flap where crackled metallic silver is visible. The new 25th Anniversary “23″ logo appears on the tongue, similar to the Air Jordan 2010. Is this a definite purchase for you?

Nike “Kill Bill” Pack

Nike borrowed the alias, Black Mamba, from one of its headlining athletes, Kobe Bryant, and used it as inspiration for a two-sneaker package. Uma Thurman’s character in Kill Bill shares Bryant’s nickname. Naturally, Nike sought to personify their sneakers with each serpent’s murderous demeanor.

The pack exhibits the Big Nike Hi and Auto Flight Hi. The base-black Big Nike Hi is splattered with blood stains and thereby congruent with any Tarantino film. As for the Auto Flight Hi, it utilizes the red and yellow color scheme that is consistent with the DVD packaging as well as the jumpsuit that Uma Thurman dons during the film. Nike cites Kobe “Black Mamba” Bryant as their connection to Kill Bill with clever insoles. The insoles of each shoe display a “Death List” in the hand-scribbled styling of Uma Thurman. Kobe’s Death List marks such NBA adversaries as Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

Reebok Omni Lite Pump - Military Pack

Reebok has lent a bit of a military aesthetic to this Omni Lite Pump pack. The pack includes two colorways: olive/orange and black/orange. In the past, the olive/orange colorway has made its way onto some coveted shoes. The black/orange isn’t quite as popular but solid nonetheless. Hits of corduroy on the collar and quilted nylon on the toe box add depth to the shoes.

Nike Sportswear Preview

The Bread&Butter Tradeshow revealed a lot of good stuff for 2010. We saw the premium Converse Chuck Taylor Cup lineup and some more goodies. The one brand we didn’t check out though, is Nike. We’re changing that today with this preview of some goodies from the biggest name in footwear.

All the old school goodies were present, from the Air Max 1 to the Pegasus 89 and Air Max 90 Moire. A number of the colorways we see here are exclusive to a store in Athens. The Air Mariah can also be seen in a White/Green color-up alongside some special material Air Max models.

Nike Air 180 2010 Preview

A couple of months ago, we showed you a white/volt Nike Air 180 that will be available some time this spring. Now, photos of two more upcoming Air 180s have surfaced on the web.

Both pairs feature colorways that have shown up on previous, classic sneakers. One pair features a Nike Air Max 90 Infrared inspired color scheme. It uses a predominately white and off-white colored base comprised of suede and mesh. Infrared and black accents appear throughout the rear of the shoe. The other pair owns an Air Jordan VIII “Aqua” inspired colorway using a primarily black upper comprised of the same textures. Look for both Air 180s to release later this year. Included in the package are exterior upgrades of carbon fiber diffuser and front lip spoiler, boot spoiler and custom front grill sans the Mercedes badge. Full suspension is also introduced along with 20 inch forged alloy three piece wheels accompanied by high performance tires. On the inside the vehicle is given a mild treatment with carbon fiber trims and velour floor mats. Most importantly under the hood is a larger capacity cylinder head and matching pistons, valves, sport cams, over sized intake and exhaust valves and everything is run on a new custom engine management software. Pharrell Williams is often considered a trend setter and a taste maker and on his most recent trip to Cannes, France for the 2010 NRJ Music Awards, he showed up wearing a pair of Nike Snowboarding x Arbito Zoom Force 1 Boots. While most people are wondering why Skateboard P is wearing snowboard boots on the red carpet the only reasonable explanation is that it seems he’s taken a strong liking to the Nike Snowboarding Zoom Force 1 Boot having shown off another colorway he owns on the BBC/Ice Cream blog a few days ago. In addition to the unlikely choice of footwear, Pharrell was decked out in his own Billionaire Boys Club apparel as well as a new Ralph Lauren “Suisse” Down Vest.

Hitting Alife and select retailers soon is the next batch of Chucks, the sneaker-boot hybrid. This round of releases is about as far removed from the last round as one could imagine, as those featured all-over colors for the “RGB” Pack.

A Naval aesthetic was chosen for this year’s Chucks. As for colors, black, grey and white shoes will drop. On the outer side, “AL 1999″ is seen in a fancy script font. The standard white sole has been altered to feature a red heel section, which matches up with the heel pull tab attached the sock liner. The shoe itself is lined with tan leather on all three color-ups.

Air Jordan 6 “Lakers”

The season after Kobe Bryant was done with adidas, and before he signed with Nike, Jordan Brand outfitted the superstar with retro kicks and PEs. It’s a shame this Air Jordan 6 hadn’t been created at the time, as its “Lakers” colorway would have looked great with Los Angeles’ purple and gold uniforms.

Black suede is used as the base on the toe box, forefoot and mid-panel. The remainder of the upper is done with black 3M reflective material. A white and black midsole is complimented with the standard icy clear outsole bits. The Lakers-tribute comes in with the contrast stitching that appears throughout the upper, which has been done with purple, yellow and white thread. Michael Jordan grabbed his first of six NBA Championships in VIs over the Lakers, after finally getting past the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Championships, which explains both color-ups of the Retro 6 we’ve seen.

Fresh off the heels of the Air Jordan 6 Retro Black/Red release, we now have detailed photos of the next Jordan 6 to release very soon. Jordan Brand will release this Air Jordan 6 Retro White/Black on February 6th, 2010.

At a first glance, you may get this particular shoe mixed up with the two-tone Air Jordan 6 Retro White/Black that is set to come out in March. Although both shoes feature a very similar colorway, there are many distinctive attribute each pair possesses. This pair seems to focus more on texture makeup while the other pair owns more of a complex color scheme. The tumbled leather sections are overlayed by perforations, while the rest of the shoe is done up in regular leather.
