This Audi e-tron Detroit Concept Car is rumored to be the production release by the name of R4. Although this concept is battery powered electric car, the production will most likely be equipped with either electric motor or conventional internal combustion four cylinder engine. Audi is currently looking into designing a smaller modular platform based on the front engine platform that is used on the new A8, the soon to be released A7 and other models. This new mid mount engine configuration will probably be implemented into other Volkswagen Group vehicles. It can be estimated that the production version will be at a price point of low $30,000 range.
